Course syllabus
For the next couple of weeks before school starts we should focus on planning and fleshing out the syllabus.
Here are the obvious things that need to be solidified:
- Course Number
- Information on instructor (@moorthy)
And some more difficult things:
- Itinerary and schedule. This is hard right now as we don't actually know how a kernel works and what all the parts will be yet - that's the point of the independent study, to learn by doing.
- Grading criteria. No idea how to approach this, open to ideas
On a slightly different note maybe we can rewrite the syllabus in tex to allow for better collaboration through git.

I have a book which I can give it to you (That book with kernel C code may be dated - It is a good reference book)

I'd gladly use any resources you have. I don't think dated code will be too much of an issue; the fundamentals haven't changed much over time. If we were aiming for compatibility with modern systems maybe, but that's a later goal.
